          Preface to the Reprint of the Fourth Edition

 In view of the upcoming General Elections in Pakistan, there has been a renewed interest in the latest edition of the book.  In order to meet the significant demand, I decided to reprint the present edition.

The salaries of the Judges of the Superior Courts were enhanced, vide President’s Order No. 1 of 2013; after the publication of the fourth edition of the book.  In the reprint, the increase is reflected in the footnotes to the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973.

I hope that this reprint is useful to the bench and the bar and the general public.
